This film traces the development of the vision and activities of Avehi, a media resource centre over the years, to show how a small group of committed people have been able to use audio – visuals creatively to promote social awareness. It documents different activities of Avehi and comments on how these activities have helped various institutions, organisations and grassroots – level workers in their educational and developmental work.

The school environment, the lack of physical facilities and the inadequacies of the teacher-especially in rural schools-reinforces this perception. While highlighting this anomalous situation, the film describes the governmental and non-governmental efforts to make minimal education accessible to rural children and also looks at an innovative experiment by a group in Madhya Pradesh trying to make a creative learning environment possible.
