Cancellation of Screenings
  • In case of cancellation of screening, at least one day’s notice should be given by the user.
  • If the cancellation, either by the user or Avehi, is due to dislocation of transport services or heavy rains or any other unavoidable difficulty, the screening will be held on some other date mutually agreed upon.
  • In case the first five guidelines for screenings mentioned below are not fully adhered to satisfactorily the screening will be cancelled for the day and postponed to some other date mutually agreed upon.
  • In case of last minute cancellation at the venue the user will have to pay the transport charges to the media facilitator.
Guidelines for Screenings
  • Make sure that the screening venue is sufficiently darkened for projection. You may use curtains, dark bed sheets, black papers or even dark sarees, etc.
  • Check the plug point before every screening to make sure that it is in working condition. For film and slide show screening, the plug point should be three pin only.
  • Arrange a table 2’x 3’ x 2.5’ high which is large enough for projector, cassette player and slide/film boxes. The table should be kept 10 feet away from the screen for slides, 20 feet away from the screen for films and not very far from the plug.
  • Ensure that there are hooks or some other arrangements for hanging up the cloth screen.
  • Service and check all your equipment every month. Before every screening once again check the equipment.
  • If you have not seen the slide show prior to the screening, then make sure that you have gone through the scripts given to you at the time of booking. This will enable you to correctly inform and motivate the audience before the screening. It will also help you to conduct the discussion.
  • Please start the screenings on time as far as possible.
