People – The Avehi Trust

The Avehi Trust with the Board of 7 Trustees is the over-all Governing body which lays down its mandate in keeping with the constitution and the objectives of the Trust and launches various initiatives / programmes.

The three major initiatives of the Trust are:
  • Avehi Audio Visual Resource Centre launched in 1981.
  • Avehi –Abacus Programme launched in 1990.
  • Avehi Recording Studio

The Managing Committee of the Avehi Society consisting of 15 elected members sets out and plans the Media Support Activities of the Audio Visual Resource Centre along with the Director/ Programme Co-ordinator who heads the staff team and who leads the Programme and the Office Staff to carry out the actual implementation of the Media Support Activities.

The  Director of Avehi- Abacus Programme and the members of Abacus Core Team plan the activities of the Abcus Programme and implement the Programme with the support of Abacus office staff, field staff and resource persons.
